Our secondary logo - the Bison. The true motivator for finding strength in movement.

The Bison our secondary logo representing our movement and training programming at Restorative.

We intentionally choose the buffalo as it is a departure from traditional medical, sterile bodies and shapes that you see in traditional physiotherapy clinics. He is our representation of Strength in Movement and who helps us over come inertia to Move our Mood - thus being the true motivator behind our two brand mantras.

The bison is a representation of being strong, graceful, agile and intelligent- appealing to both general population and athletes with similar traits. They are really quite incredible. It’s also amazing that after 100 years the bison are being reintroduced into Banff National park as a symbol of true restoration of the land. Bison are known as keystone species and have an inordinate effect on every species around them - if you take them out of the wildlife system, it collapses. This connection is made with Restorative athletes and by our team - where addressing a persons, or an athletes, injury at a fundamental level enhances their entire ecosystem as well.

The bison is also significant with my family heritage in that my great grandfather, Antoine Veremette, was one of Canada's most famous buffalo runners- you can search [METIS] Boniface Vermette, the “buffalo runner”- for - glimpse of his life story or you may see his name mentioned in historical books along with others at that time like Louis Riel.
