Therapeutic Yoga Training at Restorative Sports Therapy is the adaptation of yoga practices for people looking for foundations in movement, and establishing the very specific movement requirements for your activity.  Your Practitioner will prescribe specific regimens of postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to suit individual needs.  Apart from improving your posture and mobility, this is ideal for treating repetitive strain injuries, neck and low back pain. It has also been shown to be highly effective for those suffering from chronic pain, athletic injuries, and stress. This Yoga Training will take a deeper look at how altered movement patterns can lead to injury.  By bringing awareness into your body with breathing techniques and specialized awareness movements, we can start working towards facilitating relaxation in the larger movement muscles at the surface of the body. Your practitioner will teach you how to quiet a compensatory movement pattern, to in turn nourish a movement pattern that will help decrease pain. This then leads to building stability and connections through more effective movement patterns that involve the deeper layers of postural muscles.

Small Group Yoga Classes: Each group class is tailored as closely as possible to suit the various skill levels, interests and goals of everyone within the group. Group yoga class are 60 minutes in length and are located on site at Restorative Sports Therapy. Restorative works with small groups and individuals to tailor yoga classes that suit the specific needs of the participants.  Whether it be part of an overall cross training program, recovering from or learning to work with an injury, instructors have extensive training and experience meeting the expectations of their students.
